Two weeks ago I attended a law enforcement confrence in Hot Springs, I stayed at the Arlington. I arrived late the first night & finally got checked in around 10:30pm. I was on the sixth floor in room 675. I unpacked & walked to get some ice. When I opened my door I noticed the room across from me was #667, I was thinking it could be worse.Anyways I disreagrded the ice, took a shower & went to bed. Around 3:00am my bathroom light came on, I did not share the bathroom w/ anyone, mine was the only room connected, well being a paranormal investigator (skeptic) I turned the light off, assuming I did not click the switch all the way off. The next day I was off to a meeting, I just happened to look at #667 & thought I would see what #666 looked like, well to my suprise the next room was #665, making that room across from me #666.....Great I went to another friends room to see what classes he was attending, I went into his room & it smelled like a barbers shop, I asked him if he smelled it & he said yeah, but we was on the sixth floor & the barber shop was in the basement, that's wild. Anyways if you looked down my hallway it would remind you of The Shining, just awaiting a kid on a trike to come down. On the fourth floor was the Al Capone room, I asked an employee if I could have a look & see what is was lkie, she advised me noone was allowed in the room, I asked why & she said that was all she was told. That night I went to bed, at 3:00am my television came on by itself, I turned it off & laid back down, the room became cold, but being over weight I enjoyed it & went to sleep. The last night around 3:30am, the TV came on again, checked to see if it had an alarm to come on at a certain time, it did not, as soon as I laid down a knock came at my door, I went & looked out the peep hole, saw nothing, opened the door nothing. If anyone ever gets the chance to check this place out, please do & please advise me on your findings, I would love to invesigate it, but it is too far away for me

Thanks for the info Chris.
I haven't gotten any reports yet from that location other than yours. INTERESTING Indeed.
I had a similiar situation happen to me in Eureka Springs not long ago. The entire town is active from time to time so I picked a location to investigate other than the LABELED Locations like the Crescent Hotel or the Basin Park Inn.
Had odd things happen as well "and we had equipment setup" so I hope to get all the good stuff uploaded to the site asap.
I'll check around about the Arlington as I will be in Hot Springs in August, may have to stop in and take a real good look at it.

FOR SURE check this place out - I would recommend doing an investigation here. That's all I have to say about it. Just do it.
While you're at it, I think you should also do an investigation down the street at the Fordyce Bathhouse. I had the creeps the whole time I was there, and though nothing happened (as it did in the Arlington later) there's just something amiss there. I spoke with some employees, and several had interesting stories to tell - apparently even the park rangers don't like going into this place after dark.
Check these places out! I'd love to see what you come up with.

I will do some digging and see what I can turn up on this place.
Thanks for the info and not giving away to much info as that in itself can Suggest "got to love that power of suggestion" and lead me and others into experiences that may or may not be.
One thing I have found doing this research is that paranormal doesn't happen 24/7. And at these locations we may not get a thing while there and the next night things go nuts.

my family and i use to stay at the arlington all the time when i was younger. i am 19 now but when i was 11 we stayed and we went to the pool. my mom hates water so my dad and i swam in the kids pool and people who have been there know that you have two sets of stairs going up to the bigger pool and the hot tub and they look over the kids pool. well we were playing and my mom was in a chair reading and the door to enter has a bell on it. well all of the sudden we all stopped and a woman dressed in a white long night gown walked out and up the stairs circled the pool and walked back down. the whole time her eyes were locked on me and my dad. as soon as she was making her way out the door we all took off running to see where she went bc we were all creeped out. as soon as we got to the door there was no one there. there is a long hallway you have to walk down to get to the pool and no one would have had time to unlock their door and get in their room. we checked out the next day and havent been back since. then a couple years later we saw a story on the history channel about a woman that had supposedly died there on her wedding night. we were creeped out.

We stayed at the Arlington a couple of years ago. Like one of the other accounts, I got some really weird vibe in a bath house, not sure the name of it, but it was the one that is fully restored. A lady walked into a room I was in and I almost screamed out loud, I had such a weird feeling, I thought she was a ghost. I felt at ease in the hotel and did not expect anything out of the ordinary to happen. That night we were asleep and there was a knock on the adjoining door in our room. As far as I know no one was staying in that room, at least I never heard them if they were. We both sat up in disbelief that someone in that adjoining room would knock on our door in the middle of the night. We sat there a little while and thought well maybe there is a kid in there. We listened and never heard anyone. We went back to sleep. A little later if happened again. This time my husb got up and started to open the door, I was so scared I told him not to. He wedged a chair under the handle instead. Throughout the entire night the door was very lightly knocked on. At one point my husb. yelled out to stop it. It literally went on all night. The way the rooms are set up the beds are on the opposite side of the adjoining door. I find it hard to believe another guest would get up out of bed and do this all night the entire night. We never heard anyone in there or saw anyone come in or out. I really think it was a ghost. I have also stayed at the Crescent in Eureka and taken the Ghost tour, I fully expected to see something at this hotel but didn't. The Arlington surprised me!

my wife and i took our 2 kids to the Arlington last December. we had a room with adjoining room where we put the kids. there was a definite strange vibe to the hotel in general to me. later in the evening my wife looked into the kids room and saw the bottom of someones boots like they were laying on one of the beds. when she said something it went away. i would love to go back and explore this further. we took alot of pictures and video in the room but didnt get any positive footage of anything. but would love to see other peoples pics, vids, stories and info on the paranormal in the Arlington.

my wife and i stayed in the arlington on mar. 3rd 2012. just this past weekend. i didn't want to stay in the hotel but my wife insisted. she wanted the spa experience and i couldn't talk her out of it. I've heard the rumors and didn't want to go anywhere near the place seeing how i lived in a haunted house growing up. anyways my wife decided that we needed to go and get some snacks and drinks so we went up to the fourth floor (we stayed on the 2nd) to the vending machine. just has my wife went to put the dollar in the coke machine i felt a weird feeling come over me and i asked my wife " do you feel that?" Before i could even finish the question she answered "yeah." then the service elevator opened up suddenly but no one was there. then we both felt a sense of urgentcy to get out and run. So, we did. It felt so cold and disturbing. it brought back a lot of painful memories has a kid. i still have goose bumps.

My family and I just spent the night in the Arlington, I'm a paranormal investigator so I brought all my equipment with me. We got in late, around midnight, everyone went to sleep except for me. We stayed in Room 579 which is immediately above the 4th Floor Spa area. There was a lot of high EMF readings in the room and they moved around a lot, I never did figure out what could be causing them. They'd be there for a few minutes and then seemed to move elsewhere. I haven't had time to review my recordings yet. The next morning I went to the 4th floor and spoke with the cleaning staff. They told me that they had numerous experiences in the Al Capone Suite. One time the maid said she was opening the door and it sounded like there were a lot of people inside scurrying to hide. She searched everywhere and found no one. She also said she made the bed in 448 and went back a few mins later to find it completely disheveled. Freaked her way out. She says the other staff hate going into Room 774 because they see shadow people walking around there and a man died in that room. I went down to it and conducted an EVP and K2 session in the hall outside the door. After a few minutes, the K2 began to ping all the way into the red when I asked him questions. He confirmed that he was the man who died in the room and he does not like people staying in there. He enjoys scaring the maids. I will let you all know if I get any EVPs from that when I get a chance to listen. I haven't even gotten home from my trip yet. Tonight I am in Memphis at the Peabody and just got done hearing from a James thingyinson who threw himself off the top floor back in 2009. Gotta review the recording from that K2 session. Really recommend the Arlington in Hot Springs for those who want a spooky stay. Try to get the 4th Floor or the Pool end of the 7th floor if you do.

My wife and I stayed at the Arlington Hotel in Sept of 2010. We stayed in one of the spa rooms on the 11th floor. I believe it was room 1130, the room all the way on the left end {facing the front}of the top floor. The mood of the entire place was very charmingly creepy. We walked around all over the nearly empty hotel and noticed many rooms permanently closed with different doors and no room numbers. It reminded us very much of "the Shining", we expected a kid on a trike or twin girls to pop up at any moment. We ordered room service and I swear when the lady brought our food she was creeped out. She looked all around uneasily as she gave me the tray and I had to follow her up the hall to give her a tip. She was in a big hurry. We ate our meal and watched tv. When we finished our meal I carried the tray across the room to a table and when I sat it down the lamp fell off the table and the light bulb blew. I swear I did not come close to the lamp. We went to bed and woke up with a start around 3 am when the toilet in our bathroom suddenly flushed loudly. We sat straight up in bed and looked at each other. It took us a while to go back to sleep. There was no other entrance to the bathroom but right beside me. When we checked out the next day I told the person at the desk what had happened and they looked uneasy and didn't want to talk about it. Another couple was checking out and they too were telling the clerk about an odd event they had concerning hearing sounds of old time music coming through the plumbing.{We didn't notice this} The clerk we were talking to said he was a skeptic but that one of the employees was a confirmed believer with many experiences. I recommend this once glorious old hotel to someone looking for an eclectic spooky experience. It has a lot of tarnish and wounds but one day it will be gone and I will be glad to have stayed there. We enjoyed our

I stayed at The Arlington the winter of 2012 and stayed on the 5th floor with my wife. I don't recall the exact room number. We settled in and decided to have a late hot bath. We went together but I finished up earlier than her and decided to go back to our room. We had trouble with the key lock when we first went to our room, so, I wasn't surprised to hear and see the door jiggle after I was inside the room and sitting and waiting for my wife. I jumped up and ran to the door , not wanting her to wait while she was having trouble with the lock. To my surprise, there was no one there. The hallways are very long and I got to the door before anyone could have disappeared. Any one that is alive. The next day I saw a maid in the hallway and asked her if the hotel is haunted- she said yes and moved on like it was obvious. I still want to visit. Beautiful hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed there on 12/28/12 in room 730. I do not believe in "ghosts" rather I refer to it as energies. I am very sensitive to these energies, and pick up on them instantly. This hotel has an aurora of portal engulfed with many energies, some very dark & malicious. I had not researched this place and its history until after I had left. I am not a bit surprised to hear that its "haunted" - I knew it before I even entered the lobby.
The most touching energy I felt during my stay was odd in that I normally just feel these energies, but this time it came as a perception. This perception was not scary or intimidating it brought a feeling of the 30s era. What I mentally saw was a woman who had similar features to Marilyn Monroe or Katherine Heigl, blonde hair in an up do, she was wearing a sparkly orange evening gown, dangling gaudy silver earrings, and she was running down my hall playfully looking behind her to her left as she was removing her right earring. It was as if she were being chased by her lover.
I am not an expert, nor do I enjoy discussing these things, but this place is LOADED! Be careful and smudge yourself before returning home....
